The Brisbane Festival of Tibet offers five days of Tibetan culture where audiences can participate in Tibet’s unique culture, arts and way of life. The Festival celebrates Tibetan heritage, founded on the principles of compassion and non-violence, while addressing the issues which continue to threaten the future of Tibet.

Children and adults alike will engage with workshops and conversations, be inspired by contemporary Tibetan art and music, and discover the profound knowledge of Tibetan medicine. Appreciate the friendliness and spirit of Tibet while Tibetan monks share their wisdom through conversation, music and the creation of a sacred sand mandala.

The first day of the festival includes the beautiful film ‘Summer Pasture’ followed by a traditional opening ceremony with the Tashi Lhunpo Monks of Tibet. The remainder of the festival includes activities such as Mantra Meditations, exhibitions of Sand Mandala Creation Tibetan paintings and carpets, Namka Thread Crossing and Tibetan Ritual Dance workshops. There are also Tibetan Doctor consultations available, a chakra healing workshop and painting workshops, music concerts, personal stories with Tenzin Tsundue and guests, conversations regarding happiness and self expression and much more.
