The Zillmere Multicultural Festival is on again at O'Callaghan Park, Saturday May 22nd (10 am - 4 pm). With its vibrant mix of delicious foods, traditional and contemporary performances across 3 stages (including song, dance and music workshops throughout the day), The Zillmere Multicultural Festival is now a firm favourite on the Brisbane events calendar.

The Main Stage of the Queen St Mall will host an audio/visual presentation about Iran and Iranian culture, group dancing and an exclusive performance by music ensemble, Delkash which will perform Iranian classical and folkloric music on traditional instruments.

Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts. Mandinka Sound, a national tour of music, dance and song that will take audiences on a journey tracing West African culture in contemporary Australia back to its roots in the ancient Mandinka empire of West Africa. QLD Conservatorium's Dr Kim Cunio (world instruments) and Dr Nicholas Ng (erhu | zhonghu) join forces with Heather Lee (soprano), Samjjana: Maia & Sahayak (flutes | hang), André Bonetti (percussion), Rebecca Frith (narration) and Philip Tyrer (animation) and also Nawres Al-Freh and Tulip Garden in this exploration of the Big Dipper in the spirituality and folklore of various old world cultures.
